Within months of the release of their celebrated debut, the members of

Switchfoot quickly found themselves thrust from the familiar confines of

the San Diego music scene into a nation-wide tour with Third Day, mainstage

European festival performances, significant mainstream airplay, and a Dove

Award nomination. The outgrowth of these diverse experiences resulted in the

band members deepening their awareness of the foolishness and the

hopelessness of the culture at large and the further realization that

CHRIST is our only hope. Switchfoot documented and recorded these
